"A History of Radio at MSOE" is composed of scanned documents from the physical holdings of the Milwaukee School of Engineering Archives. This digital display is a subject-based artificial collection. Items from various archival collections (school publications, press releases, photographs, etc.) have been selected, digitized, assigned metadata, and brought together in a digital environment.
This digital collection includes documents related to radio education at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, articles from university publications, documentation of WMSE’s history, as well as items from MSOE’s Amateur Radio Club. The collection is fully searchable, as well as browsable by keyword. The selected items were chosen as the best representatives of the different facets of radio with which MSOE has been involved throughout the years.
The Milwaukee School of Engineering has been involved with radio amateurs, education, and broadcasting since the early 20th century. We hope that this digital collection illustrates over 100 years of radio involvement in an informative and entertaining way.
